Esther has been very passionate about the education of children since her youth. She began teaching in a kindergarten part-time after her A-levels and continuing to do so while pursuing her degree in Psychology in NUS.
Upon graduation, she decided to step into Early Childhood. Despite getting half the pay of her peers who graduated from NUS Psychology, Esther strongly believed that Early Childhood is her calling.
She persevered in the industry attaining a Gold Award (top of the cohort) for her Diploma In Teaching from Seed Institute. She has also attained a Masters in Education (NIE, Singapore). Always seeking to deepen her understanding of teaching, Esther a course on Therapeutic Play by Play Therapy UK. Also, she is an adjunct lecturer and practicum supervisor at NIEC.
Esther is familiar with Reggio Emilia framerwork, having personally attend a workshop by Claudia Gludici, president of Reggio Children Italy.
Besides teaching, she loves the freedom and expression in dance. Esther is classically trained in ballet and has taught ballet for seven years.
